WHAT IS MIRADRY?
miraDry is a FDA cleared, non-surgical treatment administered by a licensed healthcare practitioner that uses thermal energy to permanently eliminate sweat glands and significantly reduce underarm sweat, odor and hair in as little as one treatment, optimal results in tow. Results are immediate and permanent.

RECOVERY TIME
Some localized soreness or swelling will occur and typically clears within one to two weeks. Some patients have short-term altered sensation in the skin of their underarms or upper arms, which gradually fades. Bruising and sensitivity in the underarm area for several days post-treatment may also occur.
RESULTS
Patients can expect immediate, long-lasting results. Once the miraDry treatment eliminates sweat and odor glands, they’re gone for good. The treatment is clinically proven to have an average of 82% sweat and odor reduction. As with any aesthetic treatment results, patient results and experience may vary.
WHAT ARE THE RISKS/SIDE EFFECTS?
The miraDry procedure has been performed over 300,000 times since inception, across 45 countries, and has been proven to be highly safe and effective. Following the procedure, patients will experience swelling, soreness and altered sensation, which on average resolved within 2-3 weeks.
HOW DO I PREPARE FOR THE miraDry TREATMENT?
Patients should refrain from wearing deodorant or antiperspirant one day prior to treatment. Underarms should be shaved 4-6 days prior to treatment. Sweat glands mirror the shape of the hair growth pattern, so having a few days of hair growth allows your practitioner to easily identify the location of your sweat glands.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER TREATMENT?
Patients will need to apply ice packs to the areas in intervals of 20 minutes (10 minutes on, 20 minutes off) for the first 48 hours following treatment to help reduce swelling. These ice packs will be provided to the patient the day of their appointment.
Most patients experience some swelling and tenderness in the treated area anywhere from 3-7 days.
Results are immediate, and patients should experience continued improvement in sweat and odor reduction in the coming weeks.
DON'T I NEED TO SWEAT?
You do need to be able to sweat to regulate body temperature, however, the body contains over four million sweat glands, and on average only 2% of them are located in each underarm and eliminated during the miraDry procedure.
DOES miraDry CAUSE INCREASED SWEATING IN OTHER PARTS OF THE BODY?
No, when underarm sweat glands are eliminated the sweat glands no longer produce sweat. miraDry has not been shown to cause compensatory sweating in other parts of the body.
